How could Moses do all those things to free his people when he was just an ordinary man, without God? .... If there is no God, what is the Bible, nothing?, Something made up? | Comments: | I have spent a great deal of time thinking about this subject in the three decades of my life. I spent a 1.5 yrs in a bible college seeking some answers, but was disappointed with the evidence that was presented to support the holy inspiration of the bible. My unbiased study of world history has been the most eye opening of all. My conclusion is that there is a god. However, I beleive that religions are all created by man for many reasons - usually in an endless/timeless effort to define something that cannot be defined. But also many religions are created by men to control other people and gain power (many times men develop religions specifically to satisfy their own lust and exploit women - even though they won't even admit this to themselves -extreme example: Branch Davidians) The main reason I beleive that there is a God is that there does seem to be a natural 'self critiquing' order to life - people who make stupid decisions in life seem to create their own little hell for themselves right here on earth. Also, if there is no God, and no afterlife, and when we die we simply cease to exist for all eternity, I cannot think of anything more depressing - you? |

| Comments: | I was able to process your request. I was able to type a response to you. We are now communicating. This doesn't make us much different from animals. They can communicate too. However, I wonder if the wild animals are currently discussing whether or not a deity exist. I can't give you the intellectual proof that we would all like to ahve. I've been searching for it my whole life. However, no one has proved to me that a oneness doesn't exist. In my opinion, the longing for an answer is the first step/key to the answer. I would appreciate your thoughts and information that you have gathered. |
